Derek has been filmed by BBC Breakfast News, rehearsing for and talking about the new concerto that he will be debuting tomorrow evening at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. It will be aired tomorrow morning (Wednesday 28th September) on BBC One Breakfast News, at ten minutes to the hour, every hour!

Listen out for Derek on BBC Radio 3 tomorrow evening at 5.15pm, as part of the 'In Tune' programme. He will be talking about his forthcoming concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall next Wednesday, and playing some snippets from the new concerto that he will be performing. Congratulations!

On Wednesday 27th July 2011, Derek Paravicini was awarded an honorary doctorate for his achievements in music, by Roehampton University. The ceremony was held at Guidford Cathedral, and Derek's family and friends were there to celebrate with him. Congratulations Dr. Paravicini!

Shearing Magic!

Derek is performing a concert of 'Shearing Magic' on Sunday October 9th 2011 at the Watermill Jazz Club (Friends Provident Social Club, Dorking, Surrey) from 3pm - 5.30pm.
Marvel at loving recreations of Shearing's music by Derek and the quintet, with Jim Hart on vibes, and Frank Holder on vocals.
