Congratulations!
On Wednesday 27th July 2011, Derek Paravicini was awarded an honorary doctorate for his achievements in music, by Roehampton University. The ceremony was held at Guidford Cathedral, and Derek's family and friends were there to celebrate with him. Congratulations Dr. Paravicini!

Shearing Magic!
Derek is performing a concert of 'Shearing Magic' on Sunday October 9th 2011 at the Watermill Jazz Club (Friends Provident Social Club, Dorking, Surrey) from 3pm - 5.30pm.
Marvel at loving recreations of Shearing's music by Derek and the quintet, with Jim Hart on vibes, and Frank Holder on vocals.

Derek is to be awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Roehampton, London, www.roehampton.ac.uk in recognition of his unique musical achievements – the first person with severe learning difficulties ever to gain such a distinction and recognition by the international academic community. Congratulations Derek - everyone is very proud of you!
