Highlights of the concert will include the effervescent young pianist Lucy Illingworth, rising star Ashleigh Turley, the beautiful flute playing of Anna Foo, a Mozart string quartet with Lilly Kurata, Poppy McGhee, Takashi Kikuchi and Ivan Deb, and a very special performance on the harp by deafblind Jessica Howard. You can look forward to the world premiere of Zoe Dixon's From a Railway Carriage sung by the St Paul's Juniors Recital Choir. And, as ever, Derek will be taking requests from the audience – so that part of the programme will be down to you! Derek in Madrid

Derek is heading to Madrid this weekend!
On Sunday (14th) he and Adam will be appearing at the XVI World Congress of Psychiatry, and on Monday (15th) Derek will be performing at the British Council School. They say Derek is a clear example of challenge and reliance, two of the key values at the School, showing how anyone can succeed and be a reputed member of the international community. He is very excited to be playing there and is looking forward to meeting lots of new people!

An afternoon of music with Derek Paravicini and friends at The Theatre Royal, Haymarket

The Amber Trust, a charity to help blind and partially sighted children who have a talent or a
love for music, is pleased to announce an afternoon of music with the world renowned
Derek Paravicini and friends on Sunday 23 November 2014.
Hosted by Sean Rafferty, Arts Broadcaster and Presenter of BBC Radio 3’s In Tune, the
event will aim to raise money for Amber children all across the UK. For the many blind and
partially sighted children supported by Amber, music is their lifeline. Music can give them
great joy and confidence, as well as the courage to reach out to the world and make friends
for the first time.
‘Music is her companion. It has helped her to become a confident young lady. She loves
playing the piano. Another award from Amber will help her to realise her dream.’ A mother
of a child supported by Amber.
The event will start at 3.30pm at The Theatre Royal, Haymarket, London. Tickets range
from £10.00 to £55.00 and can be purchased online from www.trh.co.uk or by calling The
Theatre Royal’s box office on 0207 930 8800.
All proceeds from the concert will go directly to The Amber Trust and towards giving blind
and partially sighted children access to music.
